I have over 10,000 rounds on one DPP and over 7500 rounds on the second one with no problems. It has been mentioned here before a few times. They share the same mounting pattern but the DPP is just slightly longer. You can shave off a little material on the front base of the DPP.My only complaint on the RMR vs the DPP is the battery change. The RMR requires you to take the optic off the firearm while the DPP has a top loaded battery compartment. I carry my p320 xcompact everyday so the optic is running more often than not. As you say, the ROMEO1 kind of goes from dim to bright in 1 sudden level change. The PRO has nice even adjustment levels.
