An APU is a Auxillary Power Unit..meaning it has its own fuel source ( they plumb them into the truck tank), and they provide heat and AC to the interior of the truck. They also provide 110 electric. My understanding is that to get on the road with Stevens, you either have to go through their 160+ hour CDL program, or attend a CDL school that Stevens recognizes, which provides you with a 160+ hour CDL school certificate.
