I would use neither of them for shooting a 150gr bullet in 7mm-08, especially for a hunting load. Better choices would be H414, or Alliant Power Pro 2000, or one of the 4350's. You'll get better case fill, and higher velocities. When manual says "most accurate powder tested" it really means nothing to us.

Apr 6, 2010 · Here are the results of my reloading efforts so far. Using the Hornady 120gr SP bullet with Fiocchi brass necked down to 7mm-08. I started out with 36.8gr of H4895 and worked my way up half a grain at a time to 40.8gr. Accuracy was dismal the whole way up.

Feb 11, 2020 · Rem 700 7mm-08. I own and load for my Rem700 7mm-08. I prefer 42 gr H4895 with 140 gr Nosler Accubonds and/or Partition and gotten devastating results on south LA whitetail. The Accubond load shoots 1” groups @ 100 yds and drop 2.5” at 200 yds. I’ve used 41 gr of Varget with similar results.

Still waiting on E.R. Shaw to deliver my barrel for my Mauser build. Started life as an Interarms Whitworth in 270 Win with fully adjustable trigger. Build is 24" Shaw 1.5 contour barrel in 284 Win. ^^^ that is the exact data I am using. Trying it out in my 6.5 CM loads. Working on the start of load development for it now.
