Pushing sides, and than forcing a teamfight where your team gets the champion advantage (since someone has to answer your side push) is probably the most consistent, though that requires all 5 members of your team. Kassadin is an easy match up for Ryze but I think Kassa can survive the lane pretty well and lose only slightly. I'd consider picking something like Renekton or Akshan if they go Kassa.
