Loretta Anania Programme Officer European Commission, Directorate-General for Communication Networks, Content and Technology Next Generation Internet

Dr. Anania is a Programme Officer with the European Commission, DG Communication Networks Content and Technologies, Next Generation Internet Unit. She earned a PhD from MIT and worked on digital media at the MIT Media Lab. She funded EU projects on broadband, on multimodal search engines, and more recently CAPS – social innovation and collective intelligence platforms. Twice voted Chairman of the Board of the International Telecommunications Society, she serves on journals and on steering committees on information systems and quality of experience metrics.
